Two die, one injured in road accident in Amethi

Amethi (UP), May 30 : Two people were killed and one was injured when a jeep rammed into a trailer in Musafirkhana area of Amethi district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Tuesday.
Police sources said that the incident took place on Varanasi-Lucknow highway late on Monday night when the jeep coming from Sultanpur and going towards Kanpur rammed into a stationary trailer.
“Two persons identified as Sheelu and Ram Kumar, both residents of Safdarganj in Kanpur, died on spot,” they said.
Ramakant, a jeep passenger injured in the accident, was transferred to Lucknow’s trauma center from the district hospital, according to police sources.
Circle Officer (CO) Musafirkhana Gauran Singh said that two people died in the road accident. “The family members of the victims have been informed,” he said.
