UP govt restricts installation of Ganesh idols in public places

Lucknow ,Sep 9 : Uttar Pradesh government has restricted installation of Ganesh idols in public places.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath while interacting with officials here on Thursday , said all necessary arrangements should be made in view of Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

“The festival should be completed in a peaceful and cordial atmosphere,” the CM instructed while adding that the faith of the people should be given due respect.

The CM strictly said it should be ensured that no idol is installed at a public place.

‘People should install idols in their homes/devalayas and worship them. There should not be unnecessary crowding anywhere, ” he added.

The 10-days long Ganesha utsav will commence from tomorrow.
