Lucknow, Nov 8 : Ahead of the upcoming crucial assembly polls, the state will go an inauguration and foundation laying spree of mega projects in the next 2 months.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit several times in November and December to inaugurate and lay the foundation of mega projects, state government officials said, here on Monday.
Besides PM, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other Union Ministers will also participate in other inaugural functions in the state.
PM will inaugurate the Poorwanchal Expressway on November 16 at Sultanpur, according to sources.
He will again come to the state on November 19 to participate in the 193rd birth anniversary of Rani Laxmi Bai and lay the foundation of the Jhansi node of the Defence Corridor.
The PM will be in Lucknow on November 20 to inaugurate the 3 days long DGPs Conference which will also be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Modi is expected to lay the foundation of the Asia’s biggest Zewar Airport in Gautam Buddha Nagar district on November 25. At the same venue, he will also lay the foundation of Film City.
In December, PM is expected to inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and the Bundelkhand Expressway while lay the foundation of the Ganga expressway to be constructed between Meerut and Prayagraj.
According to the sources, PM is also expected to visit his parliamentary constituency Varanasi at least twice in November-December.
During all the visit, PM will address public meetings. On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be in Azamagarh on November 13 to lay the foundation of the State University.
UP Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will also inaugurate the trial run of the Kanpur metro on November 10.
