UP transforming to developed state, claims Yogi

Lucknow, Aug 15 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday claimed that the state is transforming from ‘Bimaru’ to developed under his government.

Mr Adityanath said this after hoisting the national flag at the main gate of Vidhan Bhavan here on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of the country.

“We are working continuously under the direction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Uttar Pradesh is on top in every scheme of the central government. Around 40 lakh people have got house in the state. UP has also been number one in providing houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana,” the CM said.

On testing, the Chief Minister said about four lakh coronavirus tests are conducted daily in the state.

He said that the state has found a way to save lives and livelihoods amid the global pandemic coronavirus.

The CM also narrated in detail about the development and welfare schemes of the government.

Congratulating the people of the state on the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “I bow to the brave sons of Motherland who sacrificed their lives for our freedom”.

Mr Adityanath saluted all the freedom fighters and mentioned about some of them from the state.

Several UP ministers and state officials were present at the function.

Meanwhile, five policemen were given Chief Minister’s Police medal for excellence.

The police personnel are ADG Varanasi Braj Bhushan, IG, Lucknow Laxmi Singh, DSP Moradabad Indu Sidharth, Inspector ATS Champion Lal and Constable STF Ritul Kumar Verma.

Independence Day celebrations were reported from all over the state.

Security in and around Vidhan Sabha was spruced up with deployment of Commandos of ATS and STF after the threat by Al Qaeda-backed terrorists as well as the banned Sikh organisation.
