US betting odds shifting toward Trump’s victory

Washington, Oct 14 : US bookmakers rate Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s chances of winning the election higher than of his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, according to the Election Betting Odds aggregator.
The possibility of Trump’s victory is now measured at 53%, while for Harris the figure is about 46%. Bets on some specialized resources exceed a billion dollars, while on others they are in the millions. In general, all betting sites give Trump a victory by a small margin.
The turning point in favor of the Republican came a week ago, when bookmakers were talking about equal chances of winning. By the weekend, the difference between the candidates, according to the same estimates, had grown to about 7 percentage points. At the same time, public opinion polls still predict a victory for Harris.
The US presidential election will be held on November 5.
