‘Welcome To Kashmir’ all set to release in cinema houses soon: Director Tariq Bhat

Srinagar, May 2 : Hindi film ‘Welcome to Kashmir’ which showcases Kashmiri culture and features Kashmiri artists in lead roles is all set to release soon.
Addressing a press conference in Srinagar on Tuesday, the film’s director Tariq Bhat said that ‘Welcome To Kashmir’ would promote a positive image of Kashmir and the premiere of the film will take place at the INOX cinema in Srinagar “very soon”.
He said the trailer of the film would be released on May 6. A poster of the film was also released during the media interaction.
The main lead roles are played by the actress Mateena Rajput and debutant Ahmad Shahab.
He said the film is based to feature the real image of the people of Kashmir with Kashmiri music, besides it would also showcase the drug abuse among the youth and women empowerment in a big way.
The film would be released throughout the Indian cinema houses and is likely to be released in Dubai and London too.
Bhat said despite there being numerous problems in Kashmir, the film directors earlier were concentrating on one particular problem and that too was being shown in a negative way which did not do justice to Kashmir.
He said this would be the first Bollywood film which will showcase the real image of Kashmir in a positive way.
The film would have a full Kashmiri language song with subtitles sung by famous singer Ishfaq Kawa. This would be the first time in the history of Bollywood that a film will feature a full length Kashmiri song.
He said the main reason to make ‘Welcome To Kashmir’ is to explore Kashmir in a positive way.
“This is for the first time that all Kashmiri are involved in making a film for the Bollywood ‘Welcome To Kashmir’, he said.
