Bangladeshi citizen arrested on Indo-Nepal border

Maharajganj (UP), Mar 20 : A Bangladeshi citizen was arrested by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSP) and the police from Nichlaul area on Indo-Nepal border in Maharajganj here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Monday.

Police sources said that during joint patrolling late on Sunday night Nichlaul police and SSP nabbed a suspect coming to Sheetlapur area from Nepal. “When quizzed the suspect identified himself as Riyaz (40), a resident of Benapur in Bangladesh. He was planning to enter India via Nepal,” they said.

Police sources said that an Indian Aadhar card was recovered from Riyaz after which he is also being quizzed by the security agencies.
