Action against Rahul Gandhi because Modi Govt is afraid of him: Patole

Mumbai, Mar 23 : Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee(MPCC) President Nana Patole on Thursday alleged that the action taken against Rahul Gandhi was done under the pressure of the central government and the Modi government is afraid of the growing influence of Gandhi and it is because of this fear that they are trying to trap him.

“Gandhi raised his voice against corruption and took a stand against corrupt people like Nirav Modi and Lalit Modi. It is a fact that these Modis ran away from the country after looting public money” said Patole.

The Congress party launched a protest in Mumbai against the BJP government for taking vengeful action against MP Gandhi.

On this occasion, Congress state president Nana Patole, former chief minister Ashok Chavan, Prithviraj Chavan, former ministers Vijay Wadettiwar, Sunil Kedar, Mumbai Congress president MLA Bhai Jagtap, working president Charanjit Singh Sapra, State Congress chief spokesperson Atul Londhe and a large number of office bearers and party workers were present.

Patole said that Gandhi took a stand against those who ran away with public money, action was taken under pressure by making false accusations against them. Congress has condemned the action being taken against Rahulji Gandhi . If we are being punished for talking about Lalit Modi and Nirav Modi, then the Congress party will protest against it by holding ‘jail bharo’ agitations across the state.
