President to leave for Lakshadweep

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 18 : President Droupadi Murmu, who is on a visit to Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep from March 16 to 21, will leave for Lakshadweep from here on Saturday.
She will leave for Lakshadweep by a special Air Force flight from the Air Force Technical Area, Shangumugham, at 1.35 pm.
As part of her visit to neighbouring Tamil Nadu, she will leave for Kanyakumari by a helicopter along with her family members at 8.25 am. She will pay tributes at Vivekananda Smarak and statue of Thiruvalluvar and visit the Vivekananda Kendra in Kanniyakumari.
Later, she will come back to Kerala capital at 11.25 am and after lunch she will leave for Lakshadweep. In this evening, she will attend a civic reception to be hosted in her honour at Kavaratti in Lakshadweep.
On March 19, the President will interact with members of Self Help Groups at Kavaratti. She will return to New Delhi via Kochi on March 21.
