Mumbai, Aug 29 : The BSE Sensex on Thursday rallied 240.55 points at 82,026.11 in the opening session as buying was seen in FMCG, financial services, and real estate stocks.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 43.70 pts to 25,076.05.
The BSE registered intraday high and low at 82,034.95 and 81,682.78 pts, respectively.
The NSE registered days high and low at 25,117.95 and 25,017.50 pts, respectively.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.01 pc, while the Small Cap fell by 0.06 pc.
In 30 scrips, 21 advanced, 7 declined, and 2 remained unchanged.
The gainers were Bajaj Finserv by 2.54 pc to Rs 1757.45, Bajaj Finance by 1.95 pc to Rs 7032.75, HCL Technology by 1.15 pc to Rs 1738.45, and Tech Mahindra by 0.87 pc to Rs 1641.50.
The losers were Ultracemco by 0.80 pc to Rs 11140, Powergrid by 0.72 pc to Rs 331.90, M&M by 0.55 pc to Rs 2781.75, and Sun Pharma by 0.52 pc to Rs 1804.50.
