Sensex at new high, up 200 pts

Mumbai, Jul 31 : The BSE Sensex remained strong for the third straight session on Wednesday, advancing 200 points to open at a new high at 81,655.90 on strong global cues.
All stocks were in green.
The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 75.65 points to 24,832.95.
The BSE registered intraday highs and lows at 81,758.02 and 81,434.32 points, respectively.
The NSE registered days high and low at 24,954.45 and 24,856.50 points, respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up 0.78 pc and Small Cap by 0.19 pc.
In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined.
The gainers were Asian Paints by 2.50 pc to Rs 3079.80, JSW Steel by 1.81 pc to Rs 918.40, Adani Ports by 1.70 pc to Rs 1511.95, NTPC by 1.68 pc to Rs 413.75 and Sun Pharma by 1.53 pc to Rs 1727.70.
The losers were IndusInd Bank by 0.82 pc to Rs 1418, Axis Bank by 0.79 pc to Rs 1160.55, Powergrid by 0.79 pc to Rs 346.90 and Hind Unilever by 0.37 pc to Rs 2680.75.
