Sensex rallied over 600 pts

Mumbai, Jul 28 : The BSE Sensex on Thursday spurted 648.64 pts at 56,464.96 as buying was seen across the board.
The Nifty too gained 174.65 pts at 16,816.45.
The Sensex registered the day’s high and low at 56,464.19 and 56,236.45 pts respectively.
The Nifty registered the day’s high and low at 16,821.70 and 16,746.25 pts respectively.
The Mid Cap moved up 0.65 pc and Small Cap by 0.61 pc.
In 30 scrips, 24 advanced while 6 declined.
The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 8.75 pc to Rs 6953.35, Bajaj Finserv by 7.06 pc to Rs 14,242.55, IndusInd Bank by 3.09 pc to Rs 1009.80, Wipro by 2.15 pc to Rs 415.35 and Infosys by 2.07 pc to Rs 1501.70.
The losers were Dr Reddy’s laboratories by 1.17 pc to Rs 4235, Sun Pharma by 0.87 pc to Rs 887.75, Bharti Airtel by 0.50 pc to Rs 671.40 and Ultracemco by 0.39 pc to Rs 6513.40.
