Bombay Art Society’s monsoon show begins with 120 paintings by 63 masters on display

Mumbai, Aug 3 : As many as 120 paintings and sculptures by 63 masters and established artists are on display here at The Bombay Art Society, as part of their first-ever monsoon show.
The show was inaugurated by Suhas Bahulkar, eminent artist and art writer, and Vishwanath Sable, director (Directorate of Art, Mumbai) along with Rajendra Patil, president, The Bombay Art Society, on August one, a release stated here on Wednesday.
The Monsoon show is the Society’s effort to exhibit artworks by veteran and young artists, invite arts-inclined audiences and expand the base of art patronage in the region, said Patil of The Bombay Art Society, during inaugural of the show.
While, Bahulkar said, “This is an excellent initiative taken by The Bomaby Art Society. In its 133-year-old history, this is the first time that The Bombay Art Society is hosting a Monsoon Art Show.”
The show will be on at The Bombay Art Society, opposite Rang Sharada, Bandra Reclamation, in western suburb of Bandra, till August 10, the releas added.
