Odisha MLAs to felicitate President Droupadi Murmu

Bhubaneswar, Aug 2 : An all-party delegation of MLAs from Odisha led by Odisha Legislative Assembly Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukh will be leaving for Delhi on Tuesday to felicitate President Droupadi Murmu.

Arukh said as per the programme the MLAs are scheduled to meet the President, the daughter of Odisha and pride of the state at 11 .30 AM on Wednesday and felicitate her.

The Speaker said they would also seek the cooperation of the President for the development of the state.

While the members of the BJD and the Congress had already left for Delhi, the BJP members are scheduled to leave for Delhi tonight.

The Odisha Assembly had passed a unanimous resolution on July 25 congratulating Droupadi Murmu for assuming the top constitutional post of the country.
