Rupee up 2 paise against USD

Mumbai, Mar 4 : The Rupee on Monday gained two paise at 82.89 against USD in the opening session on the sale of US dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit moved up due to a weak dollar against other world currencies amid a fluctuating start in the equity market in the opening trade.
The rupee recorded intraday highs and lows at 82.86 and 82.90, respectively, the dealer added.
