‘Historic’, says Hrithik as he celebrates India’s win at Oscars

New Delhi, Mar 13 : As India brings home two Academy Awards on Monday, superstar Hrithik Roshan was amongst one of the first actors to congratulate the winners with much pride and joy.
The superstar took to his Twitter writing, “Such a historic, proud & happy moment for Indian Cinema at #Oscars95 ! Many congratulations to the team of Best Documentary Short Film #TheElephantWhisperers & Team RRR for Best Original Song #NaatuNaatu !! More power to you all”.
Soon after Hrithik’s tweet social media users lauded the actor for being a constant cheerleader of Indian cinema.
S S Rajamouli’s directorial ‘RRR’ song ‘Naatu Naatu’ has bagged the ‘Best Original Song’ at the 95th Academy Awards. The song is composed by MM Keeravaani and sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.
Producer Guneet Monga’s ‘The Elephant Whisperers’, directed by Kartiki Gonsalves has won the ‘Best Documentary Short Subject’ at the 95th Academy Awards.
‘The Elephant Whisperers’ is an Indian-American short documentary film, which tells the story of an indigenous couple named Bomman and Belli who are entrusted with an orphaned baby elephant named Raghu. They take great pains to ensure that the fragile, injured infant survives and grows to be a healthy juvenile.
A strong bond develops between the couple and the elephant. Set in the Mudumalai National Park in Tamil Nadu, the documentary also highlights the natural beauty of the location. It explores the life of the tribal people in harmony with nature.
