Bommai : NIA gathering info in Praveen’s murder

Bengaluru, Aug 1 : Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday said the NIA is engaged in gathering preliminary information in Mangaluru and Kerala in connection with BJP youth leader Praveen Nettaru’s murder.
“The NIA has already been intimated informally (about the case). They are engaged in gathering preliminary information in Mangaluru and Kerala,” he told reporters here.
However, the case will be officially given to the NIA only after completion of the handing over process.
“The investigation is in progress. The killers will be nabbed very soon. The process to hand over the investigation to the NIA is on. Technical and paperwork is in the process,” he said.
Replying to a question, Bommai said the Chief Minister said he soon would visit the families of Masood and Mohammad Fazil who were hacked to death in Dakshina Kannada district.
Two people have been arrested in Praveen’s case. They are Mohammad Zakir and Shafique.
In Fazil’s case, the police have recovered an abandoned car which was used by the assailants.
