New recruitment policy of teachers to be rolled out in Bihar

Patna, Mar 14 : Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar on Monday announced that government would soon roll out new policy for recruitment of teachers in the state.
Chandrashekhar, while replying to debate on budgetary demand of Education department for the financial year 2023-24, said that the state government would soon roll out a policy for recruitment of teachers. In the new policy, there would not be any scope for corruption, fraudulence and irregularities in appointment of teachers, he stressed.
The Minister said that state government was committed to provide quality education to students of Bihar. A number of steps were being taken to improve education sector, he added.
Chandrashekhar said that state government had asked universities to appoint guest faculties in colleges to ensure teaching till regular appointment of teachers is done.
A large number of teachers would be appointed in the financial year 2023-24 to meet the challenges of shortage of teachers in schools, he added.
BJP members had demanded from Chandrashekhar to apologise for his earlier remarks on some portions of Ramcharitra Manas before replying to debate on budgetary demand of Education department. When Minister did not apologize, BJP members staged a walkout from the House. In absence of opposition members. House passed by voice vote the budgetary demand of Education department of Rs 404.50 Crores for the fiscal 2023-24.
