Israel strikes military sites in southern Syria

Damascus, Apr 4 : Israeli missiles struck military targets in the countryside of Quneitra and Daraa provinces in southern Syria after midnight Thursday, in response to missiles launched from multiple locations towards the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.

Shells landed near the villages of Rafid and Tel Al-Faras in Quneitra, and Tel Al-Jabiya in Daraa, without casualties being reported so far, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The observatory said Israel has targeted Syrian territory 32 times since the start of this year, with 22 aerial and 10 ground attacks.

These strikes resulted in destruction of about 64 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers and vehicles.

A total of 129 military personnel were killed, including 21 Iranians from the Revolutionary Guard, 20 members of Lebanese Hezbollah, and 12 Iraqis, according to the SOHR.

Furthermore, 12 civilians, including two women, lost their lives in Israeli attacks, with around 20 others injured, the SOHR said.
