Telangana Governor extends greetings on Bonalu festival

Hyderabad, July 24 : Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on Sunday extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of Bonalu festival.

In a message, the Governor said, “I extend my heartiest wishes to the people of Telangana on the auspicious occasion of the traditional State Festival of Bonalu.

The traditional Bonalu festival was a reflection of Telangana’s unique culture, diversified living and adorable worshiping nature and environment.

I pray for the prosperity and development of our nation and Telangana and the wellbeing of all the people on this auspicious occasion of ‘Bonalu’.

Owing to the divine blessings of Goddess Mahankali, the Covid-19 pandemic was largely contained and all the people returned to their normal lives.

Because of this, the people are able to come to the temples fearlessly to celebrate this Bonalu festival this year.

I convey my best wishes and greetings to one and all. I also pray on this auspicious occasion for the divine blessings of the Goddess Mahankali for the health, prosperity and safety of all the people in the State”, the Governor said.
