ED has issued summons to Jharkhand IAS officer Manish Ranjan. Has been called for questioning on 24th May. He was the Secretary of Rural Development Department.

Ranchi: ED (Enforcement Directorate) has issued summons to IAS officer Manish Ranjan and directed him to appear at the regional office of Ranchi on May 24 for questioning. Manish Ranjan was earlier the secretary of the Rural Development Department. On the facts found after investigating the suspended Chief Engineer Birendra Ram case, ED raided the PS Sanjeev Lal, assistant Jahangir and other places of Jharkhand’s Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam and arrested them after seizing about 37 crore rupees. After this, Minister Alamgir Alam was also arrested by ED. He is currently on ED remand.
