Sensex falls 55 points

Mumbai, Jul 27 : The BSE Sensex on Wednesday slipped 55 points to 55,212.84 as selling was seen across the board.

The Nifty too fell 39.70 points to 16,538.30.

The Sensex registered the days high and low at 55,388.83 and 55,184.90 points respectively.

The Nifty registered the days high and low at 16,512.10 and 16,443.95 points respectively.

The Mid Cap declined 0.27 per cent and Small Cap by 0.31 per cent.

In 30 scrips, 13 advanced while 17 declined.

The losers were Bajaj Finserv by 1.35 per cent to Rs 13135, Titan by 1.02 per cent to Rs 2269.50, Kotak Bank by 0.98 per cent to Rs 1740.40 and Dr Reddy’s Lab by 0.87 per cent to Rs 4134.90.

The gainers were L&T by 2.71 per cent to Rs 1797.85, Asian Paints by 1.48 per cent to Rs 3153.60, Sun Pharma by 0.50 per cent to Rs 870.40 and Powergrid by 0.56 per cent to Rs 210.10.
