ED launches survey at SP MLA Irfan Solanki’s premises

Lucknow, Mar 7 : A team of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a search on Thursday at the premises of Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Irfan Solanki in the Jajmau area of Kanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh, official sources said.

Sources said the CCTV connection installed there was disconnected during the search operation.

The search operation has been carried out by a team of officials from Lucknow Zone since early in the morning.

Meanwhile, another team of the ED has also searched the house of Irfan Solanki’s brother Arshad, who is being quizzed at his residence. The ED team has switched off the CCTV connection installed on the SP MLA’s premises.

It may be noted that the SP MLA from Kanpur, Irfan Solanki, has been in jail for the last year after a woman has accused him of arson with the intention of grabbing her plot. So far, 17 cases have been registered against MLA Solanki.

At the time of the Rajya Sabha elections, Solanki had filed an application in court to cast his vote. However, the court rejected his application.
