HP: Mandi district jolted by mild earthquake

Shimla, July 28 : An earthquake measuring 2.90 on the Richter scale jolted Kalot area of Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday morning according to the Indian Meterogical Department.
The earthquake was recorded at 7.28 am at latitude of 31.69 North and longitude of 78.90 East near Kalot area north west north of Mandi about 80 kilo meter away from Shimla, the state capital.
The quake was felt by people but no loss to property and life was reported.
