Putin, Mirziyoyev discuss international issues

Moscow, July 24 : Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev have discussed international issues amid preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Heads of State Council, which is scheduled to take place in autumn, the Kremlin said on Sunday.
“During a phone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin warmly congratulated Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his 65th birthday. The sides exchanged opinions on key issues of bilateral cooperation,” the statement read.
The presidents confirmed the mutual intention to strengthen Russian-Uzbek relations and cooperation, it added.
